The Australian Department for Immigration and Border Protection announced changes to the Occupations List coming in force on 1st July 2016.
The following occupations have been moved from the Skilled Occupation List (Schedule 1) to Consolidated Skilled Occupations List (Schedule 2):
- Mining Engineers (excluding Petroleum)
- Petroleum Engineers
- Metallurgists
- Environmental Health Officers
- Occupational Health & Safety Advisers
- Dental Hygienists
- Dental Prosthetists
- Dental Technicians
- Dental Therapists
The following occupations have been added to Schedule 1 Occupations:
- Orthotist or Prosthetist
- Audiologists
